myHR on call supports companies with their human resources matters. A consulting business, where trust is earned even before the first meeting. It is also my very first client, and all the work revolved around one simple idea: that the site should make people want to call.
The context
myHR on call is an HR consulting firm, present both in France and in Switzerland, on both sides of the border. A clientele from both countries, conversations that often shift from one language to another, and a profession where people share sensitive matters. For this kind of business, the website is not a detail: it is often the first impression, the one that decides whether someone gets in touch or not.
The firm needed an online presence worthy of its standing, able to speak just as well to a French contact as to a Swiss company, without giving the impression of a site thrown together in a hurry.
The goal
The brief, set out by the client, was clear: a soft, reassuring image, easy to read from the very first visit, that makes you want to get in touch. No showing off, no needless effects. Something calm and well crafted, that inspires confidence within seconds and puts the visitor at ease.
The whole challenge came down to that feeling. An HR firm that reassures from the moment you land has already done half the work. The rest is about making the next step obvious, so that writing or calling becomes natural.
What I did
For myHR on call I designed a seven-page showcase website, clear and trilingual, in French, English and Portuguese, so that every visitor feels welcomed in their own language. The pages are built to present the firm, its services and its contact details simply, without overwhelming the reader. The design is part of the work: everything was drawn from scratch for this firm.
I hand-coded everything, in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, without relying on any off-the-shelf tool. This gives me control over every last detail and guarantees a site that is fast, clean and true to the intended image. The site was also tuned to be found on Google by people looking for this kind of support in the region, and I put in place the legal pages required, so that everything was in order and tidy from the moment it went live.
As for the method, we moved forward step by step, and that is what made the project run smoothly: I would design a section, the client would approve it, I would build it in, then we moved on to the next one. That way, nothing came as a surprise and the firm stayed in control at every stage. From the first conversation to going live, everything was delivered in two weeks.
The result
The firm now has a live website, clear and welcoming, that presents itself in the same way in French, English and Portuguese. The image is soft and composed, true to what the client wanted, and the contact details are found effortlessly, whatever the visitor's point of entry. The site can be viewed at myhr-oncall.com.
It is exactly what was asked for: a presence that reassures at first glance and invites people to get in touch, on both sides of the border.
